Event Encoding
At PITZ we use the same Timing System like at FLASH in Hamburg. To transmit events the bi-phase marked code (BMC) is used. It is charactrized by the following:
- at bit boundaries there is always a transition from "0" to "1" or vice versa on the line
- for a logical "0" there is no transition in the middle of the bit
- and for a logical "1" there is a transition in the middle of the bit.
Each event send on the Event Clock line starts with a Start Bit followed by eight data bits and one Parity Bit as it is shown in the picture below:
