To transmit events the bi-phase marked code (BMC) is used. It is charactrized by the following: * at bit boundaries there is always a transition from "0" to "1" or vice versa on the line * for a logical "0" there is no transition in the middle of the bit * and for a logical "1" there is a transition in the middle of the bit. Each event send on the Event Clock line starts with a ''Start Bit'' followed by eight ''data bits'' and one ''Parity Bit'' as it is shown in the picture below: <
