How to setup a XFEL Interlock System
Configure Hardware
Setup a crate
- Create a signal list for all hardware signals
- Select I/O Modules that fit to the hardware signals and assign slots, following I/O Modules exist
- Analog Module for inputs 0-10V, 4-20mA, PT100 sensors
- Analog ADC/DAC Module for input and outputs of 0-10V
- Digital Module for electrical digital input and output
- Digital Module for light (LWL) signal input and output
FADC and PowerMeter modules
- Configure a LSA+ Distribution Box (needed for Digital I/O and Analog Input)
- Create an SD Card with filesystem and operating system
Setup the firmware
- From the signal list generate interlock logic in vhdl
- Integrate interlock logic into controller firmware and compile firmware
- Program firmware into all slave modules and controller
